At Shine Pet Food: Rockfish is rated “Best Choice” by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, which means it is harvested in ways that cause little harm to habitats or other wildlife. Ours is all wild-caught.

The Benefits: Rockfish is low in calories and overall fat, while rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which improve your dog’s coat and skin, strengthen joints, and increase organ health. This fish is a great source of iron, selenium, vitamin D, and several B vitamins. It also provides amino acids, including  tryptophan, threonine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, and cysteine.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine: Fish is considered a “cooling” meat. Cooling foods help to bring down inflammation in the body and are good for dogs showing signs of arthritis, allergies, skin conditions, cancer, or any other inflammatory situations.
