Meat production is a major cause of harmful greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide and methane. In addition, the corn and grains cattle are fattened on in feedlots deplete the land of water and nutrients. But if you change the way you raise the animals, you can use them to keep the land healthy and cancel out some of the emissions.

The local ranches we source from use managed grazing and other regenerative and holistic farming methods that have been shown to conserve water and restore microbial diversity to the soil, making the land more resilient to drought and fires. Because pasture grasses capture CO2 from the air, pastoral ranching also directly fights climate change.
